Ribbon Technology Corporation (Ribtec) is the pioneer of the Melt Extract process of manufacturing fibers utilizing Rapid Solidification technology.

Ribtec's product development program is dedicated to advancing product performance and manufacturing processes. Experienced research staff continually evaluate and test our products in conjunction with our partner companies and institutions across the globe.

Recent Metallurgical Research & Development activities over the past two years has resulted in the creation of a new metallic composite that is half the weight of steel, as light as Aluminum and with the equivalent stiffness. This material forms the basis of a new generation of products utilizing the output from the unique proprietary processes of Melt Extraction™ and Melt Overflow™

As well as developing new and exciting materials, our products are developed to be available in an increasing range of forms such as Wire Wools, blankets and non-woven mats with improved corrosion resistance, high temperature service and magnetic properties.

Ribtec works with customers to understand not only their needs from a materials properties, performance and cost perspective but to understand application processes, containment and shipping requirements.
